Pro-Lite combines the experience of a multi-generation, family-owned Taiwanese manufacturer with the practical, hands-on know-how and passion of retired pro-cyclist Steve Fenton. He started in a spare bedroom of a 375 year old farm-house in the North of England, building frames, wheels and moving on to even bigger projects from there.

40 years of living and breathing bicycles, wheelbuilding, engineering and manufacturing.
What started with a young racer at age 13 building wheels for other racers then developed into building frames at age 16. Steve learned by doing all his own work, finding what worked and what didn’t first hand. All starting from a spare bedroom of his farm house.
This experience was carried forward into a new business in Pro-Lite, with production happening in Taiwan, following the same methods established over the decades.

Working from behind the scenes is Jasper Chen, who focuses more on factory management. The manufacturing side is a multi-generational enterprise from his family, so he grew up in the trade with business relationships in many areas of the manufacturing field. He heads up several factories within the organization and is actively involved in every aspect of design, overseeing design, purchasing, logistics and everything else to provide a full service production operation.

Most of our production revolves around carbon fiber, aluminum alloys and steel, although more complex designs can also involve silicone and injected mold plastics. Paint, decals, stickers, laser etching, anodizing and special coatings are all available as well.
